Technical writing is not a job requirement; Don't judge a book (resume) by it's cover!
There is wisdom in giving “non-traditional” resumes more than a “once over”. Our best employees were not experts at resume writing. We find that non-traditional candidates have a great work ethic & personality; which are valued more than writing skills!

There is wisdom in compensating employees 10-20% more than the average wage. When we changed our thinking regarding compensation and began paying more than our competitors, unnecessary costs & training time were eliminated. Staff morale increased due to the reduction of turnover. Cutting costs in areas that do not affect our workforce was a decision that allowed us to attract and retain top talent as well as improve customer satisfaction.

The policy cti had regarding permanent hire not being available until the temporary completed 500 working hours, brought significant value to our company.
We requested to have this period waived however, cti advised against our request with the reasoning that the 500 hours serves as a “trial period”. Some employee’s true colors are not revealed until their second or third month/500th-working hour. cti afforded us the ability to try before we buy and alleviated us from making a bad hiring decision.
